FBHO’s 10th anniversary exhibition launch comes to a successful conclusion.
The Formosa Budding Hope Organization (FBHO) has been doing grassroots work in Cambodia for 11 years. Programs include child education in rural areas, international medical assistance, professional training for women, and art workshops. Over the past decade, up to 100,000 children in the provinces of Kampot, Siem Reap, and Prey Veng have benefited.
On February 20, the FBHO launched an exhibition to look back at the last 10 years. The opening was attended by representatives of Taiwan AID, the Veterans Affairs Council, Wan Hai Lines Ltd., Wan Hai Charity Foundation, YeSiang Enterprise Co. Ltd., San Fu Shin Ltd., and Day and Night International Co. Ltd..
One of the beneficiaries of the past decade is Reachny Mich, a young Cambodian girl who received treatment for Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome in her arm at Taichung Veterans General Hospital in 2011. She joined the opening ceremony by video link to thank to everyone.

The FBHO launched the Love Knows No Borders—Send Love To Cambodia fundraising campaign in 2021. After three months, three tons of secondhand goods and antipandemic supplies were collected. Wan Hai Lines and Wan Hai Charity Foundation donated a container to transport the supplies to FBHO’s branch office in Siem Reap—the Formosa Vocational Training Center. In addition, San Fu Shin and YeHsiang donated 20,000 medical masks, 560 antipandemic partitions, and other PPE. Day and Night also donated 1,000 adult and child toothbrush and toothpaste sets. After making an assessment, the FBHO delivered the sets to 800 young families, schools, and health centers. Tens of thousands of people benefitted from the distribution.
The theme of the 10th anniversary exhibition was “Germination” to symbolize the seeds of hope planted by each person who had participated in FBHO projects in Cambodia. Though their circumstances are difficult, with continual nurturing they have sprouted and grown. There is hope that in the future they will develop into a forest of great trees. The FBHO wants to keep working for decades more, so it can continue to realize its belief in finding budding examples of love and responsibility in difficult circumstances in Cambodia.
