就在6月5日那天，警員跟我們說：有個受害者帶著無奈和困惑來到 #宜蘭羅東分局 #開羅派出所 報案，他們的血汗錢被詐騙集團騙走，而這些不法分子竟然利用了我們協會的帳戶作為人頭戶（！？）當我們得知這個消息時，心情無比沉重，同時也深感疑惑，難道是我們平時太過專注於社會服務，忽略了現實世道的險惡（？）
在事件當下，協會的帳戶也被銀行列為「 #警示戶」，隨即遭到凍結......儘管警務人員在次日查明真相，確認我們的帳戶屬於非營利組織後立即撤銷了警示，但短短的時間內其實已經給我們帶來了財務和名譽上的損失。

更令人頭痛的是，當我們準備發薪水給辛苦工作的員工時，銀行依然維持我們帳戶的「警示戶」身份。這讓我們不得不親自前往銀行櫃台要求撤除，才讓事情告一段落。這整整三天的過程，讓協會的財務運作幾乎陷入停頓。

 

望著一望無際的天空，我們捫心自問，這一路上......小芽做錯了什麼嗎？

平時同仁每天處理國外與國內的協會事務，執行長更是經常為小芽的實際運營與廣大未來奔走於世界各地

每日的馬不停蹄，換來的，卻是有心人士的利用與民間政府的誤解......

雖事過境遷，但對於起初本就不該發生的事，我們也不該吞忍！小芽一路上不論國外國內，經歷各種風風雨雨，怎就輕易換來這樣的對待？身為一個腳踏實地為世界角落的弱勢服務的非營利組織，我們還能多做些什麼來保護所有需要被支持的孩子與家庭，更保護協會的名譽與存活？

 

這次事件讓我們深刻體會到，詐騙活動的猖獗，連我們這樣致力於公益的非營利組織也難以倖免。我們希望藉此提醒大家，詐騙無孔不入，務必保持警惕。同時，我們也呼籲警政單位和銀行機構能更加重視此類事件，保護像我們這樣的非營利組織，因為我們依靠的是社會各界的善款來推動公益事業，任何一點損失都會影響到真正需要幫助的人們的未來與福祉。

Recently, Formosa Budding Hope Organization experienced a shocking and disappointing event 😱🥺.

On June 5th, a victim, filled with helplessness and confusion, reported to the Kairo Police Station in Luodong, Yilan, that their hard-earned money had been stolen by a fraud group. Shockingly, these criminals had used our bank account as a shell account (?!). When we heard the news, our hearts filled with sadness and bewilderment. Had we been too focused on our social service mission to see the harsh realities of the world?

 

In the midst of this event, our bank account was labeled as a “warning account" by the bank and was immediately frozen! Although the police cleared our account as belonging to a non-profit organization the next day and removed the warning, the damage to our finances and reputation was already done in such a short time.

 

What made matters worse was that when we were preparing to pay our hard-working staff, the bank still maintained our account's "warning" status. We had to personally go to the bank counter to request its removal, finally bringing the situation to a close. This entire three-day ordeal almost halted the daily operations of our organization.

As we look up at the endless sky, we can't help but ask ourselves, “what did we do wrong?”

Our staff tirelessly handle both international and domestic affairs of the organization daily. Our CEO (Sally) frequently travels worldwide to ensure Formosa Budding Hope’s operations and future. Despite all this effort, we were exploited by malicious individuals and misunderstood by the public and government……

Although the incident has passed, we should not swallow the injustice of an event that should never have happened in the first place. We have weathered many storms both in Taiwan and abroad; why should we be treated this way so easily? As a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the vulnerable in the world's corners, what more can we do to protect all the children and families we support, as well as our own reputation and survival?

This event has deeply shown us that fraud is rampant and even a non-profit organization dedicated to public welfare is not immune. We hope to use this incident to remind everyone to stay vigilant against fraud. We also call on law enforcement and banking institutions to pay more attention to such events and protect non-profit organizations like ours. We rely on donations from society to drive our charitable work, and any loss impacts the future and welfare of those truly in need.

We earnestly call on the public and government agencies to join us in fighting fraud and protecting the operation of #NonProfitOrganizations, ensuring that love continues to be passed on uninterrupted 💪.
