在醫學院的最後一個暑假，總想要做點自己喜歡的事情，找回學習醫學的動力
從人生清單中，挑選了「國際志工」的選項，開啟了義診團的旅程
出發義診前的我比任何人都緊張，擔心睡過頭沒趕上飛機，更幻想若是柬埔寨的負面新聞發生在我身上，該怎麼辦?

搭了三個半小時抵達金邊，在從金邊搭將近7小時的路程前往暹粒，舟車勞頓著實有些心力交瘁...

義診的第一天，一早將物資送抵達至園區，排著人龍將器材分配著到園區的各角落
被歸在醫療組的我，見證一個原本空蕩簡陋的空間，快速規劃下被整頓為可同時容納檢傷、看診、藥局三大功能的醫療環境，當下只有佩服義診團的效率及專業性。
在每一次休息的時間檢討，將所有問題集結再做全面的重新規劃，藉此在有限的人力及資源下更有效率地完成看診流程，能在3小時的時間內成功消化超過200多位病人。

自己出發前也有個一個疑惑，我們真的能幫村民嗎？帶著這些疑點去到柬埔寨，我們沒有帶去很厲害的藥品，也沒有執行很炫技的療程，我們帶過去的不是「先進醫療」，更不是想透過醫療給予當地過大的期待，畢竟一個疾病要能被完全治癒，除了好的醫療外，還與生活型態、社會環境等條件相關，這些部分需要當地政府的長期政策規劃才有辦法提升，而我們想展現給居民們的，是一份實質的「關愛」僅此而已。

每次遞藥時，與村民們眼神交流中都發現不少的感動，有些還泛著淚光，也有透過言語或肢體語言直接表達謝意，相信從我手中傳出去的這包藥，意義非凡。這些回饋也是我小小成就感的來源，我們成功用行動詮釋這次活動的宗旨：送「愛」到柬埔寨。
透過這次的愛無國界義診團，我找回當初選擇醫學的理由，讓我目睹「侷限性」的存在，讓我完全體會「知足」的意義。期待在未來的人生旅途，還能一再地參與類似的活動，在送愛的同時——找回自我。」

The sudden onset of the pandemic over the past two years has disrupted the regular order of the world and my life plans. Many projects have come to a halt, and many opportunities have neither been pending, nor slipping away...

In my last summer vacation at medical school, I always wanted to do something I loved and rekindle my motivation for studying medicine. From my life bucket list, I chose the option of "international volunteer work," which started my journey with FBHO medical mission team.

Before setting out, I was more nervous than anyone, worrying about oversleeping and missing my flight, and even imagining what I would do if the negative news about Cambodia happened to me.

After a three-and-a-half-hour flight to Phnom Penh, followed by nearly a seven-hour journey to Siem Reap, I was physically and mentally exhausted...

However, on the first day of the medical mission, we delivered supplies to the park early in the morning, forming a line to distribute equipment to various corners of the park. Assigned to the medical team, I witnessed a once-empty, simple space being quickly organized into a medical environment capable of triage, consultation, and pharmacy functions. I could only admire the efficiency and professionalism of the medical mission team.

During each break, we reviewed and reorganized all the problems, aiming to complete the consultation process more efficiently with limited manpower and resources. This allowed us to successfully attend to over 200 patients within three hours.

Before setting out, I had a question: Could we really help the villagers in need? This doubt was haunting my mind, even as I arrived in Cambodia. During the mission, we didn't bring any advanced medications or perform flashy treatments. What we brought was not "advanced medical care," nor did we intend to raise unrealistic expectations through our medical services. After all, curing a disease completely requires not only good medical care but also improvements in lifestyle, social environment, and other conditions, which need long-term policy planning by the local government. What we wanted to show the residents was a genuine sense of "care" and “love”, nothing more.

Every time I handed out medicine and exchanged glances with the villagers, I saw a lot of emotion, some even with tears in their eyes, and others expressing gratitude through words or body language. I believed that the medicine I handed out carried significant meaning. These feedbacks were also the source of my small sense of achievement. We successfully embodied the mission's goal: to send "love" to Cambodia.

Through this international medical mission of FBHO, I rediscovered the reason I chose to study medicine, witnessed the existence of "limitations," and fully understood the meaning of "contentment." I look forward to participating in similar activities in the future, finding myself while spreading love.
